Surface Transforms Carbon Ceramic Rotors
The New PCCB Alternative

Carbon ceramic brakes have always been a love-hate relationship in the track day community. They offer many benefits over standard steel brake setups including significant improvement in brake performance, longer rotor life, and on average 50 pounds less unsprung weight and rotating mass for more responsive handling. They also look fantastic and have less brake dust!

That being said, the only real drawback to carbon ceramic rotors (PCCBs) has been the expense on replacement costs. PCCB rotors typically last an average of 3000-4000 track miles on the 991 generation and 2000-3000 track miles on previous generations, and cost $22k-$25k for a replacement set. Although this is typically longer than the lifetime of steel rotors under track use, the replacement cost is a tough pill to swallow for many people. The end result is track enthusiasts pursuing a steel brake rotor conversion or spec’ing their cars with steel rotors. However, this can cause a decrease in braking performance and handling. Everyone wishes that there was a middle ground, an alternative solution where you can get all the benefits of the carbon ceramic rotors but at a more cost-effective price point.

We are here to tell you that this solution exists! Utilizing innovative technology, Surface Transforms has developed Carbon Ceramic Rotors that are REFURBISHABLE and have a lifetime of *12k-15k track miles* with refurbishments.
